Young Worcester entrepreneur wins national award for fast-growing marketing agency

A young entrepreneur has won national recognition for building a fast-growing marketing agency alongside his university degree.

Abid Ahmed, 22, from Worcester, was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Business & Community Awards 2026, held at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow on September 25.

Mr Ahmed is the founder and director of Studio 30 Marketing, a social media and content agency that has grown from a solo venture into a structured business with a dedicated team in under two years.

The agency recently opened a new office on Upper Tything in Worcester, marking a return to the city where Mr Ahmed grew up.

He said: “Winning Gold at the Great British Business Awards is something I’m incredibly proud of, especially while graduating at university.

“To be recognised on a national stage for what we’ve built in under two years means everything.”

Mr Ahmed graduated with a degree in economics at Aston University this summer (2026).

Studio 30 Marketing serves clients across more than 20 industries, including restaurants, takeaways, dessert brands, dental and aesthetic clinics, gyms and automotive firms.

The agency offers a full-service approach to social media, including strategy, filming, editing, posting, and paid advertising.

The judging panel commended Mr Ahmed’s “remarkable entrepreneurial drive” and “entrepreneurial maturity well beyond his years.”

He said: “To stand among some of the best businesses in the country and be named Young Entrepreneur of the Year is surreal.

“I want it to show other young people from Worcester what’s possible when you back yourself.”

Mr Ahmed also ran the London Marathon earlier this year for Cancer Research.

Studio 30 Marketing’s new Worcester office is part of its plans for further growth, including expanding its team and taking on more clients in the region.

The agency works with local businesses to deliver professional social media content.

He said: “It’s been a long journey, but a journey worth it. If you have passion for something you do, then everything is possible.”

The awards recognise businesses and individuals across the country.
