A COMBINATION of acquisitions and strong organic growth across the Midlands has helped a Worcester law firm increase revenues by £11 million.
Talbots Law, which operates on Foregate Street in the city, saw turnover rise to £41m in 2025.
CEO Dave Hodgetts said: “2025 was a defining year in our recent history with turnover significantly surpassing our £36m budget.
“A pipeline of acquisitions continues to progress with each one bringing either a new geographic presence or enhanced capability in a specific area of law.
“Crucially, all share our values and commitment to delivering trusted legal advice to local people and businesses through the vehicle of an employee-owned business.”

The Midlands’ first employee-owned law specialist started its expansion with the acquisition of Onions and Davies in Market Drayton and continued with the purchase of Tinsdills Solicitors, a four-office practice headquartered in Stoke.
This move added a £5m turnover business with a strong reputation for outstanding client service, aligning with the company’s acquisition strategy and its employee ownership values and beliefs.
Talbots also completed the acquisition of Benussi & Co in the final part of its business year, a highly-regarded family law practice.
Boasting a strong central Birmingham footprint, the specialist firm will continue to run as a standalone brand but clients will be able to access a wider suite of legal services from Colmore Row.
An area of particular focus is Talbots’ growing team which delivers legal services to businesses and entrepreneurs, providing commercially-focused advice that enables them to operate and grow.
Under the new strapline ‘Talbots Law: For Law. For Business’, this growth has been driven by an organic recruitment programme and the establishment of specialist business hubs across its office in Worcester and locations in Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke, Stourbridge, Telford and Wolverhampton.
Mr Hodgetts continued: “There has been unprecedented demand for our business services offering in recent years and we’ve recognised this by investing heavily in both our capability and our people.
“We now have 100-plus experts advising on a wide range of business-related, legal-related matters.
“This includes commercial property and development-led projects, business sales and acquisitions, disputes and litigation, employment law and agricultural and rural land matters, not to mention a specialist franchise agreement service trusted by tens of international and domestic brands.
“This breadth of expertise enables us to deliver a full business services offering which we continue to expand through our specialist business hubs, ensuring strong relationships and consistently high levels of service for our clients.
“Alongside growing the team and increasing revenue in this area, we have been recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, underlining the quality of our business services offering.
“The business world has never been more volatile and, with many owner-managed firms seeking expert guidance particularly in response to changes in employment legislation and succession planning, the advice we provide has never been more important.”
