Thousands flock to Three Counties Showground for Malvern Spring Festival 2026

THOUSANDS descended on the Three Counties Showground for one of the biggest events in its calendar.

RHS Malvern Spring Festival returned for 2026 from Thursday (May 7) to Sunday (May 10).

The annual event, hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society, welcomed people from across the UK to the Three Counties Showground.

Television stars and gardening experts including Dame Mary Berry, Alan Titchmarsh and Monty Don were centre stage at the festival theatre tent.

Anyone who was not able to get a seat in the tent was able to watch on the big screen outside.

At the Kitchen Theatre, some of the best chefs in Worcestershire and the Cotswolds were providing live cooking demonstrations, including MasterChef: The Professionals 2015 winner Mark Stinchcombe, who is also head chef at Eckington Manor.

Considered by many to be the centre piece of the weekend, the show gardens are a particularly popular aspect the Malvern Spring Festival.

Visitors walked around the award-winning, specially crafted gardens which are designed to inspire amateur gardeners.

New for 2026, Blooming Borders offered a category for people new to the industry to develop their design opportunities while gaining exposure and experience from exhibiting their work at an RHS event.

The floral marquee is a popular location for gardening and horticultural lovers to find the perfect plant, while the festival of houseplants celebrated the work put in to creating indoor plant gardens.

For anyone needing a sit down, there were plenty of spaces around the two bandstands, where people could listen to live music from the likes of i-Sing Choir, the Marches Military Wives Choir, and the Malvern Chase Brass Band.

Malvern Spring Festival is the first of three major events at the showground each year.

From June 12 to June 14, Royal Three Counties Show will commemorate the best of agriculture from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire, and the Malvern Autumn Show will round out the harvest celebrations from September 25 to September 27.
