Car flips onto roof near village as driver arrested by police

A MAN has been arrested after a car rolled onto its roof near Offenham.

West Mercia Police said it has arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a crash on Evesham Road.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 1.40pm on Saturday afternoon (May 16) with a report of a road traffic collision on Evesham Road near Offenham.

“Officers arrived to find a car that had rolled onto its roof.

“A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.”

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed a crew was called to the scene after a car had rolled over.

“It was a road traffic collision earlier today, in which a car had rolled over,” a spokesperson said.
