A FATHER-daughter duo has opened a new crystal shop offering a ‘mainstream’ take on mystical goods.
Dylan’s Den, a family-run business operated by father and daughter Dylan and Caitlyn Jones, has taken over the former Claire’s unit opposite Primark in Worcester.
It fills the space left by the jewellery shop, which traded in the location for 26 years before closing in April after entering administration.

Mr Jones said: “We saw a gap in the market, and there are retailers in the market of, say, ladies’ fashion, but what we wanted to do was take your crystal shop to an off-pitch location and bring it more mainstream.
“I had been looking at Worcester for 12 months, but it is not just a question of picking the area but also finding the right unit.”
The store has provided several new jobs in Worcester.

Dylan’s Den first began trading in Aberystwyth and has since expanded to Swansea, Tregaron, Weston-super-Mare, and Hereford.
The store officially opened in Chapel Walk following a soft launch on June 6.
Mr Jones said: “We have not received any negative reviews, only positive so far.

“We have been open now for seven days, and it has been really positive, and I have received no concerns about investing more into Worcester.”
The shop offers thousands of crystals both in-store and online, including tumblestones, carvings, and jewellery.
Claire’s closes in Worcester
Modella, who owned Claire’s said that they had been left with no choice but to appoint administrators, after making “last-ditch attempts” to keep Claire’s afloat.
Insolvency practitioners from Kroll were appointed on January 26, just months after Modella Capital bought more than 150 Claire’s stores in an attempt to rescue the business.
The company, which had also bought The Original Factory Shop, said neither retailer was viable.
Claire’s then closed in Worcester in April.
