A college has announced a series of advice drop-in events to support students making decisions about their next steps after GCSEs.
Heart of Worcestershire College will host the GCSE Advice Cafés at its Worcester, Redditch, and Bromsgrove campuses on August 20, 21, and 24.
Open to all local students who will have just received their results, the sessions will run from 9.30am to 6.30pm on Thursday, and from 9.30am to 1pm on Friday and Monday.
Michelle Dowse, chief executive and principal of Heart of Worcestershire College, said: “We know that receiving GCSE results can be exciting but also an overwhelming time for young people, which is why our Advice Cafés are designed to provide friendly, expert support to help students make informed decisions about their future.
“Whether students already know what they want to study, or are exploring their options, the HoW College team is here to help guide them.”
Students will be able to discuss full-time courses, apprenticeships, and pathways into higher education.
Advice will also be available on a range of courses on offer including performing arts, hair and beauty, computing and IT, games design, healthcare science, hospitality and catering, and engineering.
Prospective students can also find out about the dedicated centres for plumbing, automotive, travel and tourism, and construction.
Applications remain open for students looking to start courses this September with Heart of Worcestershire College.
