THIEVES have broken into a shed on the grounds of a National Trust 16th-century manor house in the Cotswolds.
A burglary has taken place at Snowshill Manor, the former home of eccentric collector Charles Paget, which houses more than 22,000 unique and quirky items.
The criminals gained access to a shed at Snowshill Manor and Gardens, taking three Hytera digital two-way radios.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Unknown offender(s) have gained access to a shed by removing the padlock and breaking the slide bolt.
“Three Hytera digital two-way radios have been stolen from Snowshill Manor, Broadway.
“The theft occurred between 10pm on July 22 and 8am on July 23. Incident 194 of 23/07/2026.”
What is Snowshill Manor?
Located in the small village of Snowshill, Snowshill Manor is a 16th-century home once owned by Charles Paget Wade as a home for his collection of things that he had acquired over his life.
Snowshill Manor and Gardens is now home to more than 22,000 unique and quirky items.
In 1956, Charles Paget Wade died at Evesham Hospital, and the manor was offered to the National Trust as a way of safeguarding it for the future.
