A YOUNG man who allegedly stole BuzzBalls is one of three suspected shoplifters caught in Worcester this week.
The man was arrested after allegedly taking the alcoholic drinks from a city centre store on Friday (July 24).
On Thursday (July 23), two women were taken into custody in a separate incident after being stopped by police whilst in possession of potentially stolen items.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Our city-centre team has continued at pace to tackle retail crime.
“Yesterday afternoon (July 23), two women were brought into custody after being stopped in possession of suspected stolen goods.
“This afternoon (July 24), a young man was also arrested on suspicion of stealing BuzzBallz drinks from a city-centre store.”
Alongside tackling shoplifters in Worcester, patrols have been increased on Cranham Drive following local concerns, and officers met with Worcester City Council to discuss a problem-solving plan for concerns at Battenhall Park.
Warndon police officer, PC Bullock, also arrested a man for failing to appear at court in connection with a Class A drug offence.
