City bungalow to be converted into care home

A BUNGALOW in Worcester is set to be converted into a care home for a child.

The property in Bilford Road will be able to accommodate one child aged between five and 17.

Three members of staff will be present during the day and two carers will be around at night, providing 24-hour care for the child.

Granting planning permission, Worcester City Council said the scheme would provide “much-needed specialist residential accommodation within an established and sustainable residential area.”

Planners said the proposal “would not materially alter the character of the surrounding residential area.”
