AN X Factor star has said “it doesn’t get any easier” as she shared an emotional message
Cher Lloyd took to her Instagram story on Monday night (August 17), with a tearful video.
She told followers that she is continuing to struggle with the loss of her father, Darren Lloyd, who died in April.
The Malvern-born singer described her grief as “the worst pain” she had ever felt and said she feared it would never get better.

‘I feel like a little girl again’
“I’m not one to cry on the internet but today has been really hard,” she said. “I just miss my dad and I feel like a little girl again and it doesn’t get any easier.
“I can’t explain it. It’s like the worst pain you’ve ever felt. People say it gets easier over time but I don’t think it does.
“I think I’ll be this version of me forever.”
The 33-year-old appeared on the seventh series of ITV talent show the X Factor in 2010, finishing in fourth place.
She auditioned at the age of just 16 with the Keri Hilson version of ‘Turn My Swag On’.
She attended Somers Park Primary School, The Chase and Dyson Perrins CE Academy in Malvern.
The singer went on to have success after the X Factor, with major hits including Swagger Jagger and Want U Back.
