A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car on the M42.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 2 at around 10.15pm on Thursday.
The pedestrian was hit by a silver Vauxhall Insignia and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to confirm his identity.”
The westbound carriageway remains closed between junction 3 (Portway/Redditch) and junction 2 (Alvechurch/Hopwood) while investigation work continues.

The eastbound side may also face temporary closures throughout the day.
The spokesman said: “The carriageway is expected to be closed for several hours and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
“Diversions are in place.”
