PUBLIC toilets where urinals have been smashed during a vandalism attack have closed.
Wychavon District Council said the toilets on Oat Street in Evesham have been temporarily shut while repairs are carried out after urinals, soap dispensers and other facilities were deliberately damaged.
The council apologised for the inconvenience caused to residents and visitors who rely on the toilets while the work is completed.
A spokesperson said the damage would create costs that “ultimately fall on taxpayers”.

Police have been notified, and CCTV footage is being reviewed as part of ongoing enquiries.
Police also recovered a hammer believed to have been used during the vandalism from the site.
A spokesperson for Wychavon District Council said: “Unfortunately, we have experienced another incident of vandalism at one of our public toilets.
“This mindless vandalism not only disrupts residents and visitors, but also creates repair costs that ultimately fall on taxpayers.
“We will provide an update as soon as the toilets reopen.”
