A WORCESTERSHIRE care home has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
Windsor Court, Great Malvern, is a finalist in the Care Home of the Year category at the National Care Awards 2026.
The 51-bed home on Lansdowne Crescent offers residential, nursing, and dementia care.
Lisa Ferneyhough-Moss, home manager at Windsor Court, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for Care Home of the Year.
“This nomination is down to the incredible dedication and compassion of our entire team, who put everything into making Windsor Court a warm, vibrant, and welcoming place to live.
“We are more than a care home – we’re like a family.
“Whether it is our chefs catering to individual tastes, our carers sharing a dance down the corridor, or our housekeeping team taking time out to chat with the people who live here, everyone gives all of themselves to this community.
“To have that whole-home ethos recognised on a national stage means the absolute world to all of us.”

Judges praised its “whole-home approach” to care and wellbeing, where staff from all departments work together to support daily activities and spend meaningful time with residents.
The home offers a varied, personalised activities programme, including weekly “drum fitness” classes, cultural events, and community outings.
Residents help with daily routines such as peeling vegetables or joining the tea round.
Windsor Court also runs specialised dementia support schemes, including an on-site Dementia Hub and the “Let’s Talk Together” support group for families.

It is not the first time Windsor Court has received acclaim this year.
The home was recently named one of the Top 100 Care Homes in 2026 by elderly care platform Lottie, and lifestyle lead April Walwyn has also been recognised nationally, having been a finalist at the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Awards for two years running.
Facilities at the home include en-suite bedrooms, private dining, a bistro, cinema room, landscaped gardens, and a hair and beauty salon.
The winner of the Care Home of the Year award will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on Friday, November 6, at the Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge.
