Free pizza is on the menu as an Italian restaurant reopens today (Tuesday, October 6) following a refurbishment.
From tomorrow to October 15, Zizzi located at the top of Worcester’s High Street, will offer the first 30 customers through the door each day a free pizza when they buy a drink, excluding Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant has been closed since September 21 after undergoing a “seriously exciting” refurbishment, announcing a week-long celebration.
Becky, general manager at Zizzi Worcester, said they have taken a lot of bookings for tonight and tomorrow and that the deal wasn’t starting until the second day to allow time to ensure everything is running smoothly.
She added “With a new season starting, and a fresh new look for our site, we’re really looking forward to celebrating together over the week with the free pizza’s and garlic bombe’s on offer.
“It’s the perfect excuse to come in and visit and see what we’ve done with the place.”
For those who miss out, a free garlic bombe will be available with the purchase of a drink for the rest of the day.
Upgrades are expected to reflect the chain’s Tuscan roots, as well as Worcester’s local heritage, with artwork from Brianna Chartrand, features inspired by Worcester Cathedral, a piano room celebrating the legacy of Sir Edward Elgar, and an open kitchen.
The refurbished restaurant will be able to seat 126 customers indoors, and a further 55 outdoors during the summer months.
Zizzi has also launched its Autumn Winter menu, featuring seasonal dishes such as Sticky Pig Fonduta, Chicken Cacciatore, Five Cheese Gnocchi, Salted Caramel Bread and Butter Pudding, and Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
