Construction team swap hi-vis for pink jackets to raise £2,425 for cancer research

Construction teams swapped their usual hi-vis for pink jackets to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Workers at Spitfire Homes’ Blackthorn collection in Crowle wore the colourful clothing to support Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink campaign, raising £2,425 as part of a wider Midlands effort.

The campaign took place on Friday, October 23, and is part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Matt Vincent, operations director at Spitfire Homes, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the response to this year’s Wear it Pink campaign.

“Teams at Blackthorn and across each collection in the Midlands embraced the day, and the generosity of our employees, contractors and supply-chain partners has enabled us to make a meaningful contribution to Breast Cancer Now’s vital work.

“Thank you to everyone involved.”
