Despite its global reach, all Malibu Sun products are manufactured at its base in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

The Malibu website adds: “Malibu Sun was founded in 1999 with one straightforward belief: that proper sun protection should be something every family could afford, trust and reach for without thinking twice.

“Not clinical. Not complicated. Not out of reach.

“Just good, reliable British-made sun care – for every body.

“Over twenty years later, that belief hasn’t changed. It’s just grown.”

Malibu products are stocked in major retailers across the UK, including:

Malibu falls into administration after 27 years

Now, after 27 years in business, Malibu Health Products has collapsed into administration.

Marco Piacquadio and Rachel Ennis of FTS Recovery Limited were appointed joint administrators on October 15, according to The Gazette.

The company’s collapse follows a major fire at its St Albans facility around two months ago.

The incident left the business unable to take or process orders, Business Sale Report said.

In a statement on social media (at the time), the company said: “We wanted to let everyone know that there has been a fire at our premises in St Albans, UK.

“Thankfully, everyone is accounted for, and those affected are receiving the appropriate care and support.

“This has understandably been a difficult and upsetting time for our team, and there will be some disruption to the business while we assess the situation.

“For our retail customers, trade business remains as normal and orders can continue to be placed as usual through our distribution partner, Pricecheck.

“Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support.

“It really does mean a great deal to us.”

“Thank you for your patience and support.”
