A local author will give a talk on centuries of Worcestershire’s proud history at a heritage society meeting.
Vanessa Morgan will discuss her book, The Little History of Worcestershire, at Pershore’s Heritage and History Society’s September event.
Her talk will provide a whistlestop tour of the county’s history, starting from the Romans and ending with the Victorians.
Ms Morgan’s presentation will cover diverse aspects of Worcestershire’s past, including its people and industries, ranging from the coal mines and iron foundries in the north to the salt works of Droitwich, the nail industry in Bromsgrove, needles in Redditch, and carpets in Kidderminster.
The talk will take place in the committee room at the Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, off Station Road, Pershore, on Thursday, September 3 at 7pm.
