A care home has launched a new day care service to support families and give carers a much-needed break.
Belmont Care Home in Worcester is now offering a Monday to Friday day care programme from 10am to 6pm, providing a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment for guests while their primary carers take time for themselves.
The service includes morning and afternoon activities, social interaction with others, and nutritious meals, including lunch and an evening meal.
Blaise Osman, customer relations manager at Belmont Care Home, said: “We understand how rewarding but also demanding caring for a loved one can be.
“Our new day care service is designed to give family carers a well-deserved break, while giving their loved ones the opportunity to socialise, take part in activities and enjoy a friendly and supportive environment.”
The scheme aims to help carers maintain a healthy balance between their responsibilities and their own wellbeing.
It is suitable for those who need either regular or occasional support.
