A CCTV image of three people police would like to speak to as part of an investigation into a stabbing at a pub in Stourport.
The incident happened at around 2.30pm in the garden of The Bridge Inn on Bridge Street in when, the police say, the victim was approached by three men.
The victim, a 34-year-old man, suffered stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged, West Mercia Police have confirmed.
When officers arrived at the scene, police say, the suspects had fled and efforts are ‘ongoing’ to identify and locate the men.
West Mercia Police’s CCTV enquiries have identified three people who were in the area around the time of the incident, who they believe may have information that can assist with the investigation.
Detective Inspector Jo Mayo-Evans said: “We understand that an incident of this nature will cause concern within the community, and I want to reassure residents that we believe those involved were known to each other and that this was an isolated incident.
“We have released an image of three people we would like to speak to in connection with the incident as we believe they can help with our enquiries. If you recognise the people in the image please contact police.
“Officers will remain within the area, and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward.”
