Driver sentenced after seriously injuring man

A DRIVER has been sentenced after he seriously injured a man.

Stanislaw Kuchta, 70, had been accused of causing serious injury to Cameron Wilmott through careless driving.

Appearing at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 13, he pleaded guilty to the single offence, which took place on St Ann Way in Gloucester.

Kuchta, of Wells Road, Worcester, was handed a 12-month extended driving ban and was fined £200.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and an £80 surcharge.
