A new wine festival has celebrated a hugely successful debut.
The first English Wine Festival, organised by the Malvern Hills Vineyards group, took place at Mathon Court on Saturday, September 5, and drew a sell-out crowd.
The festival showcased wines from six vineyards in the group: Two Beacons Vineyard, Chase End, Three Choirs, Marlbank, Deer Park, and Foxbury Fields.
Ceri Phipps, co-founder of Two Beacons Vineyard, said: “The overwhelming success of the first English Wine Festival from The Malvern Vineyards really shows the appetite for English wines in the region.
“It was wonderful to see hundreds of visitors come together to enjoy wines from all six vineyards as well as tastings and talks, and we are already planning next year’s event.”
Malvern Hills Vineyards is a collaborative group that promotes the quality, expertise, and reputation of local wineries.
Collectively, the group has earned more than 50 national and international awards and grows 14 grape varieties over more than 35 hectares spanning Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Gloucestershire.
Two Beacons Vineyard, based in Herefordshire, recently received international recognition at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026, winning three silver medals.
Its wines are now stocked at Malvern Theatres and The Malvern Spa.
