THE FIRST look into a new neighbourhood that will be built within the grounds of a historic ‘French château’ estate has been revealed.
Spitfire Homes has acquired a 9.9-acre site on the Impney Estate in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, where it plans to build 127 homes next to the iconic Impney Hall.
The development, named Little Impney, will feature a mix of one- to five-bedroom homes, including detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, as well as maisonettes and refurbished apartments.

Part of the Spitfire Homes Bespoke Collection, the homes will feature architectural details inspired by the Grade II-listed Impney Hall and neighbouring estate buildings.
The properties will be built predominantly with red brick and include stone detailing, feature gables, tall vertical windows, and red brickwork, along with sand-coloured render and hanging tiles.
The scheme also includes the renovation of Pillon’s Villa, which will be converted into two apartments.
Open green space will be central to the development, with Spitfire planning to deliver more than 10 times the required amount.
The site will include parkland, landscaped areas, a children’s play area, community allotments, and woodland walking routes.
A bridleway will be reinstated to connect the development to the wider Droitwich community.
The project is expected to bring nearly £1.7 million of investment to the area, including improvements to highways, education and NHS services.
It will also support an estimated 440 jobs.
Little Impney is located close to Droitwich Spa town centre and the M5 motorway.
Each home will include sustainable features such as solar panels, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, and underfloor heating.
