Five shops face action after failing Worcestershire underage vape tests

FIVE shops in Worcestershire have failed underage sales tests by trading standards teams.

The premises will now face further enforcement action and monitoring by authorities.

At a meeting of Worcestershire County Council’s overview and scrutiny performance board, head of trading standards Simon Wilkes said: “Work continued on underage sales. There have been 17 places tested so far this year – five have failed. All are related to vapes.

“Those shops will be dealt with and have been dealt with by final written warning.

“They will be subject to enforcement activity at some point in this year.

We’re also required them to undertake additional training and implement additional systems into their activities to prevent sales going forward.”
