The highest-rated fish and chip shop in Worcester has been revealed after hundreds of glowing customer reviews.
Ambleside Fish and Chips has an impressive 4.7-star rating on Google from 616 reviews, with customers praising everything from its portion sizes to its friendly service.

The shop came out on top among Worcester fish and chip shops by Google star rating, with review count used to separate businesses sharing the same score.
Other high-rated fish and chip shops include Hooked on Broadway Grove, Rainbow Hill Chippy on Astwood Road and St Johns Fish Bar in Lambert Road.
And judging by some of the reviews, customers certainly aren’t shy about sharing their love for the chippy.
One reviewer issued a challenge to anyone thinking of going elsewhere, writing: “Don’t waste time or money going anywhere else.
“Clean, simple, efficient and the best fish and chips in the area. Prove me wrong.”

Another customer praised the combination of food, service and atmosphere.
They said: “I’ve not been to a chip shop where the service, atmosphere and food have been so good in a long time.
“Friendly family-run atmosphere, quick service [and] the largest portions I’ve come across.”
The generous portions appear to be a recurring theme, with another reviewer calling Ambleside a “lovely family-run business”.
They added: “Delicious fresh food every time and portion size gives excellent value for money.
“All friendly staff that give excellent customer service.”
Delivery customers have also been impressed, with one reviewer writing: “Always had a delivery and always bang on time. Food has been hot always.

“Brilliant chippy, that good I’ve just ordered another! Nothing bad to say.”
Another lengthy review praised the business for continuing to serve “delicious food” and “generous portions” despite the pressures facing businesses.
They wrote: “Guys, it’s no wonder you have 4.7 Google rating. How you manage to serve delicious food, with generous portions in this economic climate remains a mystery.
“I can only hope that all your customers realise what a great thing they have on their doorstep and let you feel that appreciation.
“One thing is certain they would miss you if you weren’t there!”
Other reviews were considerably shorter but equally enthusiastic, with customers declaring: “Fish is the biggest in Worcester” and “Best chips in Worcester.”
