AN INDIAN restaurant that laid claim to being the ‘best in Worcester’ has taken the “difficult decision” to close for good.
IndiNosh in St John’s is boarded up after the ‘fusion and streatery’ business ceased trading due to a number of struggles.
A legal notice on the front door states that the landlord has taken repossession of the property on Swanpool Walk.
A representative for IndiNosh said: “The business ceased trading a few months ago.
“We made a couple of attempts to reopen but unfortunately we were unable to establish a stable kitchen team.

“Changes to immigration and visa requirements also made it difficult to retain the chef we had planned to work with.
“With my commitments across other businesses, I was also unable to give the restaurant the time and attention it required, so we ultimately made the difficult decision to close.”
In March, IndiNosh said that due to “unforeseen family circumstances” involving its head chef, the restaurant would be temporarily closed until April 6.
The notice posted on Facebook followed a two-day closure for “operational improvements” earlier in the month.
However the business was unable to reach a stable footing, despite having received largely positive reviews from diners.

The front windows have been boarded up, with the notice stating that enquiries about the property should be directed to a solicitors’ firm.
IndiNosh has a 4.8-star rating from 141 reviews on Google and had the maximum five stars for food hygiene.
The restaurant had laid claim to being “Worcester’s best Indian restaurant” on its website, and had a wide choice of house specials on its menu.
Customers were promised “an exceptional, chef-curated dining experience” blending “tradition and excellence.”
