A new art exhibition is offering a creative take on the meaning of place.
The public show will open at The Art House in Worcester. It showcases vibrant collage artworks by students from the University of Worcester and Heart of Worcestershire College.
Led by Severn Arts, the project was part of the Local Voices Creative Choices initiative.
Artist Rob Draper, known for his collaborations with global brands like Nike and Gap, guided the students through an immersive workshop at the start of the project and continued to support them as they developed and refined their pieces.

Mr Draper said: “This project has given students the chance to see their surroundings in completely new ways. I can’t wait for the public to step into the Art House and experience how these works come together to tell the story of Worcester through their eyes.”
The collages use everyday materials to explore themes of identity and belonging through the lens of personal and cultural connections to Worcester.
Ivan McDouall, director of curriculum at Heart of Worcestershire College, said: “Seeing our students collaborate and express their connection to Worcester in such creative ways has been fantastic. This project has given them a real opportunity to grow, experiment, and share their voices with the wider community.”
Around 40 students took part in the project, which was led by Severn Arts as part of the Local Voices Creative Choices initiative.
Mark Flisher, head of the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Worcester, called it “a celebration of creativity and community.”
The exhibition, which opens on April 17, uses the main window displays at The Art House on Castle Street to bring the student work directly to the street for all to enjoy. Members of the public are invited to visit and explore the students’ imaginative interpretations of Worcester.
