A police officer who is alleged to have made sexual and discriminatory comments while on duty is set to face an accelerated misconduct hearing.
Paul Buffery will appear before a misconduct panel facing allegations of discreditable conduct.
It is alleged that Buffery displayed inappropriate, unprofessional and derogatory speech, attitudes and behaviours.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “These included use of sexualised, offensive, and discriminatory comments regarding both members of the public and police colleagues.”

An accelerated misconduct hearing is a disciplinary hearing where there is undeniable evidence which proves gross misconduct and that it is in the public interest for the officer to be barred from the police service immediately.
Buffery will appear at West Mercia Police’s Headquarters in Hindlip, near Worcester, for his hearing on October 2.
