As several venues reopen with new looks — and, in some cases, new visions — we have created a roundup of all the pubs refurbished so far in 2026.

Blackpole Inn

Blackpole Inn officially reopened its doors in March with a striking new exterior and interior refurbishment to go alongside its conversion into a ‘sports pub’.

The Marston’s pub was relaunched under the brand’s new sports concept, Grandstand, and received a £349k makeover.

The Westcroft

The Westcroft, on Ombersley Street West in Droitwich, reopened its doors this month under the management of Scott Flear and Dan Lancaster and a £273K refurbishment.

Outside, The Westcroft now has new lighting and signage to greet customers, as well as a refurbished garden seating area for 45-50 people.

It also got an updated main bar and snug area.

The Crown Inn

The Crown Inn in Peopleton was taken over by landlord Josh Matheson and will be closed for two weeks, from April 7 to April 21, for refurbishment.

It also reopened with a new food offering.

Horn and Trumpet

The popular watering hole on Angel Street was another pub to reopen under Marston’s Pubs ‘Grandstand sports pub concept, with new features such as tiered seating, larger TV screens, state-of-the-art sound systems, and more.

The refurbishment cost £300,000.

The Conservatory

Even though the Conservatory in Worcester is more of a bar than a pub, it has received not one but two makeovers in the last six months.

Diglis Hotel

The new owner of Diglis Hotel, Darren Eden, has been turning things around at the landmark venue by investing in a major refurbishment of the hotel, bar and beer garden.

Since the takeover, the Vale Domestic Services Groundworks has been busy installing a new outdoor trailer bar, a raised seating area, and a new resin hard-standing floor in its beer garden, which overlooks the River Severn.

An outdoor kitchen space with new unisex toilet cubicles has also been installed outside to help during busy periods.
