A WEATHER warning has been issued for thunderstorms in Worcestershire.
The Met Office has said that the storms may bring disruption to transport, infrastructure and outdoor activities.
There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and possibly hail, leading to longer journey times by car, bus and train, the official forecaster said.

There will “probably” be some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes, and some short-term loss of power and other services is likely
Flooding of a few homes and businesses is also possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures
What does the Met Office have to say?
The forecaster said: “Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.
“If you find yourself outside and hear thunder, protect yourself by finding a safe enclosed shelter (such as a car).
“Do not shelter under or near trees, or other structures which may be struck by lightning.
“If you are on an elevated area, move to lower ground.”
The yellow weather warning covers south-west England and Wales, with showers, heavy and thundery, expected to spread over the course of the afternoon.
