A Worcester transport company is celebrating national recognition after being named a finalist in two major industry awards.
Worcester-based transport firm Speedy Freight has been shortlisted for Franchisor of the Year (Established) at the 2026 British Franchise Association (BFA) Awards, and The Customer Service Award at the 2026 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
The BFA Awards celebrate the best in franchising, with a focus on ethical practice, leadership, and sustained success.
The Supply Chain Excellence Awards highlight outstanding performance in supply chain management.
Speedy Freight previously secured a Bronze Award in the same BFA category in 2025 and is hoping to take home a higher honour this year following continued investment in its franchise network.
The company says the double nomination reflects the progress made over the last 12 months.
This included investment in technology, people, and operational support across its nationwide franchise network.
Michael Wilson, group franchise director at Speedy Freight, said: “We are incredibly proud to be named finalists in these two awards and excited to see if we can build on last year’s Bronze Award with the BFA.
“The strength of Speedy Freight has always been the people in our franchise network.
“By supporting ambitious local business owners with the technology, expertise and operational infrastructure of a national organisation, we’ve created a business that can compete successfully with much larger transport providers while never losing the personal service our customers value.”
Mr Wilson said the recognition belongs to the wider team.
He said: “The recognition for both awards belongs to our franchise owners, colleagues and support teams whose dedication, professionalism and commitment continue to raise standards across our network every day.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating alongside the very best in UK franchising and supply chain excellence later this year.”
Speedy Freight says its success is built on a national model led by locally owned franchises, which combine national capability with regional knowledge and customer care.
This approach has helped it compete with larger transport providers while maintaining a personalised customer experience.
The Supply Chain Excellence Awards will be held in London on November 5.
The British Franchise Awards will follow in Telford on November 12.
