A new skate park and pump track are on the way, aiming to create a fresh space for fun and activity.
Work is well underway in Droitwich Spa as part of a £600,000 investment by Wychavon.
The facilities, next to the town’s leisure centre car park, will include a purpose-built pump track and a modern skate park.
Both facilities are expected to be ready to use by October.
Alex Pedlow, a Droitwich Spa resident who campaigned for the pump track, said: “It seemed like a long way off when we started to campaign for this and people told us not to bother, but we stuck at it and it’s great to see the progress being made.
“This is going to be a great facility for Droitwich Spa, particularly for the town’s young people.
“Everyone is going to love this.”

Designed specifically for Droitwich Spa by ON TRACK, the pump track features a unique series of rolling humps, slopes and banked turns, creating a modern loop circuit that will challenge riders of all abilities.
The neighbouring skate park is being designed and installed in a modern, flowing street style by Maverick Skateparks, with a mix of banks, transitions, ledges and halfpipes for skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter users and inline skaters.
The project is being overseen by Dragon Play & Sports, which has more than 30 years of experience creating community play spaces and sports facilities.
Cllr Richard Morris, leader of Wychavon and executive board member for economic growth and tourism, said: “We’re proud to be delivering these high-quality, unique and modern facilities that reflect what our community, particularly our young people, has asked for.
“They are also a testament to the determination of our officers to overcome barriers to create a place for people of all ages and abilities to come together, be active, and enjoy.”
The new facilities form part of Wychavon’s wider investment in leisure and wellbeing across Droitwich Spa.
Other projects in the pipeline include upgrades to the leisure centre, a revamped Droitwich Spa Lido and the development of a new health corridor.
