Business celebrates three years of helping people live independently

A business is marking three years of helping people live independently.

Better Together Services, operating across Worcestershire and now expanding into Gloucestershire, has reached its third anniversary.

The business employs 55 companions who support clients with day-to-day tasks, transport, and social outings.

Alexandra Doyle, the business founder, said: “Just this time last year, we had 31 companions and now we have 55.

“We are so grateful to our team of dedicated companions as well as those behind the scenes in the office, to our clients and their families who make this all possible.

“3 years, I can’t quite believe this dream is a reality and I get to live it every day, you can’t call this a job.

“I am so lucky to have so many amazing companions and lovely people around me to support me every day.

“I really can’t wait to see what the next 3 years bring.”

Ms Doyle founded Better Together after experiencing having three grandparents living with dementia all at the same time.

While her family did not need personal care, they did need help with shopping, errands, and other daily tasks— prompting her to recognise a gap in support services.

The business now operates across Worcestershire, with especially strong growth in Evesham, Pershore, and Worcester.

It recently expanded into neighbouring counties, including Gloucestershire.

Better Together Services describes itself as a provider of discreet companionship and concierge-style support, helping clients maintain independence in their own homes.

Ms Doyle said: “Home is where the heart is and life is also for living.

“We believe everyone deserves the decency to continue life as they have lived it.”

As part of its anniversary celebrations, the company hosted a giveaway on social media.

The winner, Jodeen Evans, received a hamper and a spa day, and companion Charlotte Reese was also recognised for exceptional service.
