A FAMILY is “really concerned” after one of their two stolen dogs was found dumped on a bridge more than 10 miles away.
The owners of one-year-old Louis the dachshund said they received a call on Friday morning (October 16) to confirm that the dog had been found on Mythe Bridge in Tewkesbury.
This is more than 10 miles away from where he was taken, at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern between 9pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday night (October 14).
The family said they were relieved to have one of their dogs returned home but were still worried about Milo, a saluki greyhound, who was taken at the same time.

“This morning, we had the phone call that Louis had been found by a runner,” they said.
“He had been left on a bridge in Tewkesbury. He hasn’t got a collar and he’s a bit timid but he’s coming back to himself now.

“We still haven’t found the other one. It doesn’t make sense.
“It makes you really concerned as to where Milo is. We just want him back where he belongs.”
West Mercia Police confirmed that they had received a report of two dogs being stolen on Wednesday night.
“We have received reports of the abduction of two dogs from Hanley Road in Malvern on Wednesday evening at around 9pm,” a spokesperson said.
“The dogs are a red saluki greyhound and a dachshund. Enquiries are ongoing.”
