A NEW restaurant has opened in Worcester city centre and the owner says it is already a hit with customers.
Tipsy Toast has opened on Broad Street in the premises previously occupied by Waffle and More.
Owner Nitin Mathur, who also runs Velentino Gelato and Bollywood Bytes on St Nicholas Street said customers can still expect desserts, as well as a savoury English menu, and a bar.
“It’s a bar, restaurant and dessert shop,” he said. “This is my second venture as I have run Velentino’s for the last two years.”

The restaurant has been open for more than a week and Mr Mathur said it has already been a hit with customers, particularly over the Bank Holiday weekend.
“It’s going well,” he said. “The crowd over the weekend has been good because this is a tourist area of Worcester, with hotels nearby.”
Looking ahead, he said the restaurant will soon add Indian dishes to its menu.
“We have launched an English menu and we are adding Indian food that we know people will like.”
The restaurant can be found near the Broad Street entrance to Friary Walk Shopping Centre, formerly known as Crowngate.
“We wanted to create something that brings people together,” Mr Mathur said.
“Somewhere customers can enjoy great food, desserts and a welcoming atmosphere in one place.
“Worcester has supported our journey over the last two years, and we’re excited to continue investing in the city.”
