Camera catches lorry driver speeding on A-road

A CAMERA caught a lorry driver speeding on an A-road.

Saleem Idris, of Woolhope Road in Worcester, was driving a Scania LGV on the A417 near Gloucester when he was caught breaking the 40mph speed limit.

He was found guilty of speeding and was sentenced at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.

The 34 year-old was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.

He was also ordered to pay £192 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as a surcharge of £88.
